The Emek Hefer Foundation

The first philanthropic fund in the rural area in Israel, established in 2021, in a joint initiative of the mayor and private residents - with the aim of preserving and strengthening Emek Hefer region, as the green heart & Central Park of Israel State - for the entire public and future generations.

The Emek Hefer Foundation is a Non-profit organization, focuses on raising the quality of life through groundbreaking ventures, programs and projects based on this core values; Heritage and Commemoration, Sustainability, education and welfare, Culture & Community, Sport, Innovation, Agriculture & Green countryside, Community Resilience, etc.

All the ventures, programs and projects are the fruit of the foundation's and the community's initiative - developed and carried out in full partnership with the local authority & national and global partners.

The ability to fulfill our vision, is possible thanks to private donations from our local community & funds & philanthropists in Israel and around the world, who share a common vision with us. Together, we create significant social and economic force multipliers to break the 'glass ceilings' and fulfill Shared dreams.

A few words from the community

As a proud resident of Haniel and Emek Hefer, I see great importance in the activities of the Foundation for the local community and the the general public, which is one of the most beautiful and high-quality areas (human and geographical) in the State of Israel!

The joint work of the fund with the Economic Development company of Emek Hefer, produces important force multipliers that push forward initiatives and actions for the public.

I initiated the establishment of the Emek Hefer Foundation in order to get additional opportunities for our residents and to preserve and nurture the unique character of the valley, by supporting projects on key issues and values. I am proud of the cooperation with the foundation, its management and the professional staff, and know that we have made great achievements for the valley and its residents.
